Conservation Board
About the BoardThe seven-member Conservation Board provides a focus for local environmental overview (
see Town Code) and advocacy and performs functions assigned by the Town Board, including environmental education, and review of developmental proposals on such matters as drainage and landscaping and environmental protection.The Conservation Board reviews all environmental issues and concerns regarding site-plan approval, subdivision appraisal, etc. for the
Planning Board. Residents who are interested in the improvement and preservation of environmental quality are eligible for appointment to the Board. Board members are appointed by the Town Board for terms of two years.
