About the BoardThe Planning Board, with its detailed knowledge of the history, planning strategies and land use regulations of the Town, is in a unique position to give advice on the future of the community.
The seven-member Planning Board reviews all applications for re-zoning, site plan reviews, conditional use permits, and consideration of requests by developers for construction of new subdivisions. The Board's reports and recommendations are often of vital importance in deciding upon a re-zoning request, SEQRA reviews or other action. The Town Board appoints Planning Board members for seven-year terms.
